Unable to load library icui18n "Cannot load library icui18n: (libicui18n.so.48: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)" 

Something is still linked to the old libraries, did you run revdep-rebuild?

Oh damn... I suppose this came from me playing around a bit with icu versions. 

Yes I ran revdep-rebuild when I first found this problem but I will do so once agaion to be sure...
