See URL. When I change ownership of a file/directory with "CTRL+x o" mc crashes badly.
Upstream already fixed this bug with the attached patch.

There is still similar crash with "CTRL+x v" (create relative symlink) but I couldn't find upstream patch.

I've reported this bug upstream (https://www.midnight-commander.org/ticket/2787). As this is a different bug from the one reported here I won't reopen this bug. Feel free to file a new one.
