Description Matthew Marlowe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2012-04-19 18:12:36 UTC
Incompatibility per Zabbix Bug:
https://support.zabbix.com/browse/ZBX-4894

I've updated dependencies for latest zabbix releases to require fping <= 2.9 which should match 2.4_beta2_p161-r1

We should make sure that fping 2.4_beta2_p161-r1 stays in the tree into incompatibilities addressed.

So the older zabbix versions, including the singular stable version, are not affected?
Comment 2 Matthew Marlowe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2012-05-04 04:02:06 UTC
I've opened bug request to stabilize 1.8.11-r2. If there are no major issues within a few days of the stabilization being complete, older ebuilds will be removed from tree. This will ensure that all current and future zabbix ebuilds have the proper exclusion for fping 3.0.

There is now an open bug directly with fping developers, and we're awaiting their response too which will hopefully eventually make 3.0 compatible.

Where is it? :)
Comment 4 Matthew Marlowe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-05-14 06:05:37 UTC
Older zabbix versions removed from portage tree and latest stable is zabbix-2.0.11_rc1-r1, but I have yet to confirm with upstream which versions of fping are supported with that release or above.
