I'm getting the same error:
This was from MAKEOPTS="-j1" emerge cups-pk-helper
I'll attach my --info in another post to keep it fairly clean.

Thanks for reporting; fixed in cvs without a revbump. The problem was caused by two files distributed in the source tarball that had been generated using gdbus-codegen-2.31.19 and therefore could not be compiled with glib-2.30.
