I think we were just waiting for a stable cycle release of tp-rakia for this, and then just pkg.move, if that works out, and a regular bumping? (In reply to comment #1) > I think we were just waiting for a stable cycle release of tp-rakia for this, > and then just pkg.move, if that works out, and a regular bumping? Sounds good to me. Note that the telepathy-rakia package does not work correctly (uses wrong IP address in the INVITE message and the o= line in the SDP) if there is more than one network interface (reproducible with libvirtd). telepathy-sofiasip works here, but I think this might be by mere chance. Sorry for the previous comment - telepathy-sofiasip indeed works only by chance, and the "wrong source IP" problem can be worked around by using STUN. So now I am a happy user of the (unpackaged yet) telepathy-rakia. Is there any problem with packaging rakia? SofiaSIP was renamed to Rakia and released as telepathy-rakia-0.7.2.tar.gz 10 months ago. Assuming that telepathy-rakia follows the same version scheme as most other telepathy projects, 0.7.x = unstable/developer preview. The first stable release will be called 0.8.0. For Emapthy (gnome) 3.4 (and ktp-call-ui), you need rakia 0.7.4.. Older versions of Empathy must old older rakia (or tp-sofiasip), so the upgrades must be synchronized. Also Empathy 3.4 uses tp-farstream (not tp-farsight), so the upgrade to farstream must also happen together. (In reply to comment #7) Olivier, thanks for the explanation. telepathy-sofiasip has now been renamed to telepathy-rakia in portage, telepathy-rakia-0.7.4 added (and package.masked until gnome-3.4 is unmasked), and empathy-3.x blocks versions of telepathy-rakia that do not work with it. >*telepathy-rakia-0.7.4 (18 Jul 2012) >*telepathy-rakia-0.6.8 (18 Jul 2012) >*telepathy-rakia-0.6.6 (18 Jul 2012) > > 18 Jul 2012; Alexandre Rostovtsev <tetromino@gentoo.org> > +telepathy-rakia-0.6.6.ebuild, +telepathy-rakia-0.6.8.ebuild, > +telepathy-rakia-0.7.4.ebuild, > +files/telepathy-rakia-0.7.4-gio-linking.patch, +metadata.xml: > Rename net-voip/telepathy-sofiasip to net-voip/telepathy-rakia, and add 0.7.4 > for empathy-3.4 (bug #403861, thanks to Olivier Crete for clarifying the > issue). > 18 Jul 2012; Alexandre Rostovtsev <tetromino@gentoo.org> > empathy-3.2.2-r1.ebuild, empathy-3.4.2.ebuild, empathy-3.4.2.1.ebuild: > Block versions of telepathy-rakia that do not work with the corresponding > version of empathy (bug #403861, thanks to Olivier Crete). |
