I am working on this now; kmod needs to put compatibility symlinks in /sbin instead of /usr/bin and block module-init-tools when compatibility mode is on. The symlinks are now installed in /sbin which is where they belonged in the first place and a blocker has been added so that module-init-tools cannot be installed at the same time as kmod. Note that this package was also added to p.mask in the same list as udev. This was done because we now have symbolic links in /sbin that link to binaries in /usr/bin which are needed before /usr is mounted. |
