If it is any help, I have been running 8.83.5.1 for quite some time now (almost a year) with no problems whatsoever. I've found it to be more stable in low-signal conditions than 8.24.2.12. I can confirm, that it's working on amd64 since over a year. Please stabilize. Another vote to stabilize. This firmware, in addition to eliminating the dmesg warning, also appears to fix a bug for me in which the machine goes into an unrecoverable bad state every several suspend attempts. *** Bug 432310 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Shall I proxy maintain it?
