The following keyword changes are necessary to proceed:
#required by virtual/perl-Module-Build-0.380.0-r2, required by virtual/perl-Module-Build (argument)

Yes, very. Put the list into /etc/portage/package.accept_keywords/Module-Build-stable-list and test if it works.

What can I do to make the arch teams job easier?

File a bug report for Portage Development to have repoman not misreport on only the first optional dependency. :)
