dep to <1.7 added, lets leave this bug open until a real fix is out i'm afraid thats not going to happen soon, its not just some fix. the new svn structures are completely redesigned. it's an unresolved bug still Only saw this today, but upstream actually provided a patch several months ago: http://www.lyx.org/trac/attachment/ticket/7855/svn17diff-3.patch Got rid of the dep limit, applied the patch --> results in peaceful coexistence of LyX v2.0.3 and Subversion v1.7.2. upstream didn't agreed to apply this patch :) Upstream fixed it with http://www.lyx.org/trac/changeset/8be18455fd7072cd2d30108f0d274d4d253fe58a/lyxgit Created attachment 312037 [details]
lyx-2.0.3_svn-1.7-support.patch
As this has been fixed in upstreams master 2 months ago and there still hasn't been a new release, I took the liberty to backport the fix to the 2.0.3 release.
Attached is a patch for ${FILESDIR} and a patch for the ebuild. Feel free to apply if you see it fit.

lyx-2.0.3_svn-1.7-support_ebuild.patch
patch for the ebuild
No backport? (In reply to comment #9) > No backport? Unlikely. 1) The patch touches critical parts of the code (_any_ file opening). 2) Testing under various svn binaries/repo version is missing. *** Bug 447966 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** lyx 2.1 beta is in rebutia overlay any feedback whether new subversion support works at your platform is more than welcome. thanks. 2.1 is out. |
