When I start hack it tells me that it can't write to /var/games/hack and the
game won't start.
The perms on this dir are
-rw-r----- 1 games games
I can play only if i'm root and this isn't good.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.lunch hack
Actual Results:
game tell me
Warning: cannot write /var/games/hack/record
Hit return to continue:
perm: Permission denied
Cannot link safelock to perm
It seems you don't have write permission here.
Hit return to continue:
and then it quit
Expected Results:
start the game
Should be fixed in CVS now...
I'm getting this error and the normal user is in the games group. I checked
permessions in /var/games/hack and they look OK:
drwxr-x--- 2 root games 4.0K Nov 27 10:51 .
drwxr-x--- 5 root games 4.0K Nov 27 10:32 ..
-rw-rw---- 1 root games 0 Nov 27 10:32 .keep_games-misc_bsd-games-0
-rw-rw---- 1 root games 0 Nov 27 10:31 perm
-rw-rw---- 1 root games 39 Nov 27 10:51 record
