First attempt, please review if possible

List 2
I forgot gtk+
Does all of stable compile against gtk+-2.24? iirc, some things still pass -DGTK_DISABLE_DEPRECATED I don't have enough "power" to check all the tree, will ask Flameeyes to help us if possible :) Sadly Flameeyes is only able to run tinderbox for "testing" now, not stable tree :-S Created attachment 276645 [details]
List 3
With updated gnome-utils

They're recent bumps, but they're all pure bugfixes: dev-libs/glib-2.28.8 dev-python/pygobject-2.28.6 media-libs/clutter-1.6.16 *telepathy* (i.e., update all telepathy packages to latest versions) Remove vte + gnome-pty-helper, they're being handled in bug 371320. What's wrong with media-video/totem-2.32.0-r2 ? Maybe we should skip liboobs for now, it's a 3.0 version, and will probably work best with gnome-system-tools. Gilles should know more. I'm still not entirely comfortable with gtk+-2.24.x, but I guess we can quickly fix compilation bugs as they pop up. But if we're going to stabilize it, we should go with 2.24.4. The rest looks okay. Thanks for making the list! Introduced changes in libbobbs-3 don't look to deeper: http://git.gnome.org/browse/liboobs/log/ Created attachment 277165 [details]
List 7
Updated list with Nirbheek's suggestions, it still contains libboobs-3 until waiting for Gilles opinion
Also bug 362699 needs to be handled, but I cannot reproduce and doesn't look a regression to me (or I cannot find the commit introducing that problem :S) Created attachment 277237 [details]
List 8
Include yelp

List 9
Updated list dropping packages handled on blocker bugs
Arches, please test and mark stable packages from list 9 after handling bugs blocking this one Created attachment 278255 [details]
List 10
List including libchamplain stuff
*** Bug 371251 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** amd64: all emerged ok, may boot into it later. missing gtk+ from this list? logged in, all seems to work, still some menu entries without installed package, probably an upstream issue. It's handled in bug 371320 (that is blocking this one) (In reply to comment #22) > logged in, all seems to work, still some menu entries without installed > package, > probably an upstream issue. I don't understand you :( I can't merge all packages due to libnice/farsight2 problem. net-libs/libnice:0 (net-libs/libnice-0.0.13, ebuild scheduled for merge) pulled in by <net-libs/libnice-0.1.0 required by (net-libs/farsight2-0.0.20, ebuild scheduled for merge) (net-libs/libnice-0.1.0, ebuild scheduled for merge) pulled in by =net-libs/libnice-0.1.0 I already ask to voip herd. re net-libs/libnice; Yes I had some annoying moments with libnice. With perserverance, got it /them emerged, though it did take this manual dodging & weaving. From memory, had to select the package being cited by emerge output, emerge it (or update it) in isolation, then once libnice was in, all was smooth. You can decide how to view this. I opened bug 373393 for farsight2 stabilization, hope it helps with your issues all good for me on amd64 amd64 done. Thanks Agostino and Ian Ok, x86 should be done. The stable script hit a few bumps. Please CC us again if something is not right. arm stable *** Bug 378967 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** alpha/ia64/m68k/s390/sh/sparc stable Stable for HPPA. ppc/ppc64, please jump to bug 385699 ppc/ppc64 stable |
