I have successfully merged a bumped ebuild, and tested it using x11vnc (my reason to install libvncserver...) Suggested changes to the ebuild: 1. 0.5-optional-configure.ac.patch no longer applies - needs fixing or reassessing 2. I believe aclocal should come before automake One more thing - the developer of x11vnc has recently put up a new x11vnc.c that can safely replace the version in ${S}/contrib: http://www.karlrunge.com/x11vnc/x11vnc.c It provides cool stuff like -noshm for polling a remote or Xnest server, and -sid for improved single-window transient handling. It would be nice to use this newer version. However, the author does not appear to offer versioned downloads, and a patch would be perhaps a little big - 51K for a unified diff.
