Okay, that makes it work. Sorry for reporting a PEBKAC issue. I'm just testing with yet another USE flag configuration and if that also works I'm going to mark it stable.

ppc's masking apbs useflag, because sci-chemistry/pymol-apbs-plugin isn't keyworded at all.
