Same here: See pulseaudio ticket #927: http://pulseaudio.org/ticket/927 *** Bug 364963 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** great, 4 weeks ago posted and still not in tree *** This bug has been confirmed by popular vote. *** I believe this is happening because the xcb_atom_get() function has been removed from xcb-util. This also affected startup-notification (bug #364931). Pulseaudio uses xcb_atom_get() in src/pulsecore/x11prop.c. Apparently xcb_atom_get() is just a synchronous version of the asynchronous xcb_intern_atom(). But I have no clue how to patch this. I've never used these APIs. Created attachment 271277 [details, diff] patch from Maciej Grela (http://pulseaudio.org/ticket/927) I failed to notice the patch attached to the upstream ticket. I'm attaching it here. Upstream seems to be in no hurry to fix this, so perhaps, until they fix it, the patch wouldn't be out of place in the ebuild? It works, for me anyway. *** Bug 365011 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Created attachment 271283 [details]
Working ebuild, with patch added
This ebuild works for me (patch is named pulseaudio-0.9.22-fix-build-with-xcb.patch)
Confirmed that the patch applies and fixes the issue. (I'm on ~amd64) Also confirming. Pulseaudio builds well with this patch. (x86) Fixed in CVS, thanks *** Bug 365021 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 365035 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 365055 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 365095 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** x86 doesn't belong here. Bye. |
