RabbitMQ 2.4.1 has just been released:

This is a bugfix release, so the ebuild from 2.4.0 should magically just work.

"This release fixes a number of bugs, in particular one bug in 2.4.0 that
would break upgrades if durable queues were present. A notable
enhancement included in this release are cluster upgrades."

Release 2.4.0 (the version that went into cvs a few hours ago), contains a couple of serious bugs that break automatic upgrades almost completely.  On the other hand, 2.1.0 (the version before this in portage) had limited support for upgrades anyway, so it's unlikely to affect many people.

in cvs. i've also removed 2.4.0 so that chances are lower that people break their system by upgrading :-)
