After being hit by a bug in 1.7.3 I copied the ebuild (anf stuff from files dir) to my overlay, renamed to 1.7.4 and it compiled/installed without a problem. Since this bug is fixed in the latest version, it might be interesting for other people to update.

Thanks a lot. I'm running ~amd64, btw.. Do you need anything else, like emerge --info or is this not necessary for a bump request?
