Tested on SPARC, with httpd started, browsed to my phpsysinfo and checked that it did serve the content correctly (using PHP 5.3.6), and yes, all seems well. Could stabilise.
Comment 5 David Abbott (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-03-31 16:38:54 UTC
Tested on x86, all good here ...
Comment 6 Thomas Kahle (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-04-04 12:06:28 UTC
Hmm, on x86 I get the following:

# /etc/init.d/apache2 restart
 * Caching service dependencies ...                                                                                                                           [ ok ]
 * apache2 has detected an error in your setup:
Syntax error on line 90 of /etc/apache2/modules.d/00_default_settings.conf:
Invalid command 'Order', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration
 * ERROR: apache2 failed to start

any ideas?

Jep, you need at least the required modules! ;-)

It yells somthing like the following if they aren't present:
Module 'authz_host' is required in the default apache configuration.
Module 'dir' is required in the default apache configuration.
Module 'mime' is required in the default apache configuration.

APACHE2_MODULES="dir mime authz_host" emerge -av apache && etc-update; and you should be fine! :-)

But it fails for me with the peruser-mpm and some obscure modules, but i haven't tracked it down further yet! So i don't know if it's a regression or not!

Comment 11 Marcin Mirosław 2011-04-12 13:51:31 UTC
Bug #347782 probably is still valid. Mayby should be added ewarn to ebuild (if sb uses gcc-4.5)?
