confirmed. Seems it uses new gjs functions or deprecated one i don't know. Emerging gjs-9999 seems to resolve some functions but one is still missing so don't know how to fix it. Well found the cause: firefox 4. Just emerge firefox 3 with xulrunner 1.9 and then re-emerge gnome-shell and gjs. Now this is not a really good solution but it works. well downgrading xulrrunner and ff-4 is no option :)) maybe the gnome-shell dev are mercy i join : IRC: Join irc.gnome.org:#gnome-shell to participate in daily discussions or get help with running, developing, or designing for the GNOME Shell. and saw : " GNOME Shell and Mutter now code-frozen until 3.0.0. No commits without approval from release team *and* otaylor " :)) so if sb can convince them to change the code. so go ahead :)) This problem exists because you have spidermonkey installed, I've added a build-time blocker for it now to the gnome-shell ebuild. just emerge -C spidermonkey and it works thanks @nirbheek for this advice This build time blocker collides with dev-db/couchdb which currently (version 1.0.2) needs spidermonkey-1.9. Now I am unable to update gnome-shell without manually work around it (emerge -C spidermonkey, emerge -u gnome-shell, emerge spidermonkey). That's annoying. |
