Description Anthony Basile gentoo-dev 2010-10-31 16:12:25 UTC
ppc and ppc64, please consider fast track stabilization of
=sys-kernel/hardened-sources-2.6.32-r23 which addresses a local root escalation
exploit. See bug #341801.

This replaces STABLEREQ bug #341915 for hardened-sources-2.6.32-r22 which would not stabilize on ppc and ppc64 due to a minor syntax error in arch/powerpc/mm/slice.c introduced by one of the patches.

I've tested on a dual core G5:

gentoo-ppc64 ~ # uname -a
Linux gentoo-ppc64 2.6.32-hardened-r23 #1 SMP Sat Oct 30 23:55:59 EDT 2010 ppc64 PPC970, altivec supported PowerMac7,2 GNU/Linux

With the blessings of the ppc64 team, may I go ahead and mark it stable?

This will not stabilize on ppc. Closing.
