Comment 2 foser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-11-15 11:24:19 UTC
we don't maintain this.

The IUSE should be empty (?) if 'gnome' is not used

The ')''s in the DEP should go (i wonder why this doesnt break anyway)

i wonder if the whole dep isnt sort of broken, becuase it seems to me java-gnome used to be gnome1 bindings (?) or did that change with the 0.8 release ?
Comment 3 Jeffrey Morgan 2003-11-18 06:16:31 UTC
Starting with java-gnome 0.8 the java-gnome project utilizes gtk2 and gnome2.

Moving this again to java@gentoo.org, so everyone out there can help.

java-gnome-0.8.1.ebuild

Made changes suggested by foser above (IUSE="", removed parens from DEP).

Tested with gcc-3.3.2-r2, gnome-2.4.1_p1, sun-jdk-1.4.2.02. Works as
advertised.

Please commit this to the portage tree; the current version is quite outdated.

Repoman is satisfied
Comment 7 Jeffrey Morgan 2004-02-05 07:43:39 UTC
Is this typically how long it takes to get an ebuild into the portage tree? Another developer has just completed an ebuild for release 0.8.2 and I will be releasing java-gnome 0.8.3 in about two days. Is there anyway to speed up this process?

thanks
-Jeff

It not exactly duplicate but that way we have a registry were they are related.
