I suppose, that my texlive or docbook installation is anyway corrupted. But all what I tried: including 'emerge -uvDNe texlive', 'emerge -1 jadetex', 'emerge -v1 openjade' or 'for p in `qlist -ICv dtd` ; do emerge -v1 "=$p" ; done' did not remove the problem. Informations provided Now I have the issue with postgresql-docs-9.0_beta4, which blocks the installation of postgresql-base, postgresql-server and cyrus-sasl, apr-util, redland, gdal, libdbi-drivers, qt-sql and xemacs depending on postgres. This isn't a PgSQL bug. The problem lies in the following file: /usr/share/sgml/docbook/xml-simple-dtd-4.1.2.4/ent/iso-lat1.ent Which belongs to: app-text/docbook-xml-dtd (In reply to comment #6) > Now I have the issue with postgresql-docs-9.0_beta4, which blocks the > installation of postgresql-base, postgresql-server and cyrus-sasl, apr-util, > redland, gdal, libdbi-drivers, qt-sql and xemacs depending on postgres. > For now you *could* just do USE="-doc" - with 9.0 final the docs will be properly bundled in again, so for the next month or two you'd have a little less documentation installed. Hi Aaron and Patrick, thanks for your hints. If I set USE=-doc for postgresql-base and postgresql-server, I can emerge postgresql-base and postgresql-server. xml-simple-dtd-4.1.2.4/ent/iso-lat1.ent does not belong to app-text/docbook-xml-dtd but to docbook-xml-simple-dtd. So I will open a new bug to docbook-xml-simple-dtd. Give the 9.0.0 ebuild a shot. From http://www.mail-archive.com/docbook-apps@lists.oasis-open.org/msg00730.html "Thank you everyone who replied - I've got it all working without errors. The crux of the matter is that the catalog for SGML ISO entities MUST appear in the SGML_CATALOG_FILES path BEFORE the XML DocBook catalog (that contains entries for the XML ISO entities)" On my machine this is contained in /etc/env.d/93sgmltools-lite. would you please post your correct /etc/env.d/93sgmltools-lite thanks Can this bug be closed now? It appears the issue is not in PostgreSQL, but with the ordering of /etc/env.d/93sgmltools-lite. Closing this bug. dev-db/postgresql-docs-9.0.3-r1 resolves the issue by eliminating the dependency and using what's already provided by upstream. |
