I am using a driver that requires a firmware.agent to help firmware uploading.
it would be nice to have it included in the sys-apps/hotplug ebuild.

I downloaded this file, put it in /etc/hotplug/ then chmod a+x'd it. and it seems to be working fine.
It looks like the linux-hotplug developers have this file in their cvs repository but, who knows when the next release will be... I'm really filling this bug report so debian users will lose their bragging rights over this issue (they already have a firmware.agent) ;-)
