Versions prior to this have problems when broken_system_clock is set in /etc/e2fsck.conf. Have tried sys-fs/e2fsprogs-1.41.12 in local report and can confirm it's working fine on ppc. Can you add the new version to portage, please?

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:  
System does not boot with messed up system clock when sys-fs/e2fsprogs < 1.41.12 is used.

Expected Results:  
System boots fine, even if system clock is back in 1970. :)

The required libs are also working fine.
