I think this is a Ruby 1.9 problem. I have both 1.8 and 1.9 installed, and I use eselect to make 1.8 the default, but something keeps changing it to 1.9 behind my back. (I'll file another report on that.) (In reply to comment #1) > checking for ruby... /usr/bin/ruby > /usr/bin/ruby:0:in `require': no such file to load -- auto_gem (LoadError) > configure: WARNING: The detected Ruby is too old for Subversion to use > configure: WARNING: A Ruby which has rb_hash_foreach is required to use the > configure: WARNING: Subversion Ruby bindings > configure: WARNING: Upgrade to the official 1.8.2 release, or later This means that Ruby is somehow broken. Well, if this is a Ruby bug, rather than invalidating it, couldn't we rename it to something that indicates that it's a Ruby bug? |
