These files need to be made writable by users (in the games group):

./racer.ini
./data/drivers/default/driver.ini
./data/tracks/carlswood_nt/bestlaps.ini



Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

Actual Results:  
Track and car selection can't be made in-game. Best lap times are not saved.

Expected Results:  
The above should be possible.

Fixed in CVS.  Resync and remerge to get the fix.  Thanks for the bug report.
