When emerging net-mail/fetchmail I have encountered this warning:

* Deprecation Warning: python_version() is deprecated and will be banned on 2010-07-01.
 * Use PYTHON() instead of python variable. Use python_get_*() instead of PYVER* variables.
 * The ebuild needs to be fixed. Please report a bug, if it has not been already reported.

So here is the bug report :-).

Could we proceed to stable -6.3.15 which does not use this anymore?

The new version is in the tree for four days. We have to wait a bit before we can stabilize this version.

The deadline 2010-07-01 is coming closer, any of the newer versions good to go stable, (or fix the current stable silently...)
