Any progress on this one? I would very much appreciate being able to use apache on this particular machine and would prefer not to emerge the previous revisions since those use a different DATADIR. I can't reproduce this. two machines tried with your exact USE and FEATURES flags. Portage 2.0.49-r7 (default-x86-1.4, gcc-3.3.1, glibc-2.3.2-r1, 2.4.22-rc2-ac3) Portage 2.0.49-r14 (default-x86-1.4, gcc-3.3.1, glibc-2.3.2-r1, 2.4.22-pre10-ac1) Could you try to use a 2.4 kernel and see if this still occurs? Hello. Thanks for some feedback. I will try with 2.4 kernel as soon as I can and will report back. Yes this is only being seen on Linux-2.6.x kernels. The only workaround currently is in the duplicate bug....
