/usr/lib/libwnn.so: undefined reference to `crypt' re-emerge the package that owns libwnn.so (use equery or qfile to find out) May be an --as-needed problem. In that case, bug should be against the package, that owns libwnn. Indeed --as-needed failure. Sorry for overlooking this. Links fine without --as-needed. That's with USE=freewnn, then. Yes, freewnn useflag is set (see my emerge --info), yes I have synced recently. kinput2 fails with --as-needed too, I am not talking about freewnn which builds fine.
