proposal of ebuild
How about a snapshot ebuild instead? It's ok for me. I wasn't sure what is easier to do (and which version is preferred in gentoo) : create snapshot version or create live ebuild . libgadu-1.9.0-rc2 in tree, I think live ebuild is no longer needed. (In reply to comment #4) > libgadu-1.9.0-rc2 in tree, I think live ebuild is no longer needed. Marcin, can you confirm that support on the ekg side is not needed for that new feature to work? (In reply to comment #4) > libgadu-1.9.0-rc2 in tree, I think live ebuild is no longer needed. Thirst of all i thought you meant current, svn snapshot (e.g.version libgadu-20100208 made from svn trunk). There is many changes from 1.9.0-rc2 ( please look at svn log http://toxygen.net/websvn/log.php?repname=libgadu&path=%2F&rev=0&sc=0&isdir=1 , e.g. revision 882 "too many changes to write them.." ;) ) (In reply to comment #5) New features which users can use are in ekg, but new version of ekg needs new version of libgadu. So not only libgadu should be bumped. Is it a problem to make snapshot file from svn? E.g. problem with license? No, rather there's problem with unnecessary maintenance cost of bumping snapshots as there seem to be just one package that would benefit from it, and the one that's not even in tree (ekg-9999). Sorry, folks, no snapshots. I've bumped 1.9.0-rc3. I may add some live ebuild in a future as well. Reassigning to net-im as I no longer maintain ekg. removed |
