Description Denilson Sá Maia 2009-11-12 18:14:24 UTC
Since bug 252140, amrnb and amrwb support was removed.

On unstable versions (like ~amd64), openamr support was added. That's great, because openamr allows us to reproduce amr audio.

Please, add support for openamr to the stable mplayer, or stabilize a newer mplayer version.

We should stabilize new version, but that will require also ffmpeg, vlc (A rc), and avidemux (A snapshot). From these I can see vlc possibly needs more time.

Oh, these are because of the new media-libs/x264 depend.

I might be wrong, but it seems that the current stable vlc works fine with the next-unstable ffmpeg and x264 (versions 0.5_p19928 and 0.0.20090629). I don't use vlc too much, though.
