Are you mixing stable and unstable ? What's your version of boost ? If it's one using eselect-boost, does 'eselect boost set <correct number>' help ? It's all right now. I removed source-highlight, reinstalled boost and then emerged source-highlight back. Everything went OK without any additional CXXFLAGS required. It seems that it was boost's update and its "@preserved-rebuild" remains required by source-highlight that caused some kind of deadlock.
