it seems that jfsutils-1.1.3 sources have some problems with gcc < 3.x opened bug #3761 at IBM for this: http://www-124.ibm.com/developerworks/bugs/?func=detailbug&bug_id=3761&group_id=35 reporting here just to notice other users and to make sure it is not only me :) I tested it on 3 gentoo 1.2 boxes (on the other 2 gentoo-1.4 boxes with gcc-3.x it builds fine) on all of them compile fails with errors. pleasy apply the patch described at: http://www.mail-archive.com/jfs-discussion@www-124.ibm.com/msg00829.html it fixes the problem bye, alessandro
