I just noticed that there's no scummvm-tools package in Gentoo, and the supplied scummvm package doesn't install any of the supplied utilities to go with the program. Specifically, I'm thinking of the utils for working with audio files, such as "extract" and "simon2mp3" that are mentioned in the scummvm README (linked in the provided URL). These tools let you take the uncompressed voice samples for the SCUMMVM games, and recompress them using MP3 or Ogg Vorbis to save a lot of disk space, so they're pretty handy. :)
