I reported this bug a while ago, and it got solved today.
So I made an ebuild based on the 4.3.2 one and inserted the patch.
Problems seem to be gone. Please include this ebuild into portage, as it fixes an important bug which causes Kopete to crash on Jabber System Messages.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. start Kopete
2. cause a system message on Jabber
3. almost for sure, Kopete will crash.

Actual Results:  
CRASH

Expected Results:  
Kopete should print the system message (like wrong password for a transport)

So far i can see that 4.3.3 has the patch included. Please confirm that 4.3.3 is really fixed (reopen if otherwise).

Sorry we didnt get to your report sooner. We currently have 440 bugs opened and we are trying to sanitize the number a bit but it is neverending fight :]

Also 4.3.3 is planned to be stable in next weeks and all older kde4 version will be removed.

No problem, I am quite proud and fond of Gentoo, the KDE herd in special.
So 4.3.3 gets STABLE, really? That would be like (christ|x-mas) just a bit early :)

Whatever, keep up the good work, I am happy with Kopete, whatever I throw at it (even the error messages from the server) it stays alive, is really solid.

Therefore, closing :)
