[ebuild U ] app-editors/vim-7.2.264 [7.2.238] USE="acl bash-completion gpm nls perl python ruby -cscope -minimal -vim-pager -vim-with-x" 0 kB I'm betting that if the ruby flag were removed, it would build. So maybe that's the source of the trouble. So maybe > that's the source of the trouble. > I can't reproduce. ruby.h should be in /usr/lib/ruby/1.8/i686-linux/ruby.h or at least that's where I have it. This is not a problem in vim's source code. I don't see any ruby dependencies in vim's ebuild, may be that's the problem. Do you have ruby installed? I have ruby installed (both 1.8 and 1.9). Also, my ruby.h is here: /usr/lib/ruby/1.8/x86_64-linux/ruby.h Maybe vim's Ruby support is broken for x86_64? Which ruby version are you using? Try eselect ruby 1 Being 1 ---> ruby18 Because I've tried to build vim with ruby19, and it failed. But not with ruby18. But not with > ruby18. > That fixed it. Thank you. I suppose it's too much to ask that Ruby 1.9 will get supported? :) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 268608 *** |
