I can confirm this on git-sources-2.6.32_rc1-r2. Attached my kernel .config.

This is probably the same issue as in bug 287225. Possible these issues have similar problem. Same issue here, with sys-kernel/vanilla-sources-2.6.32_rc1 Created attachment 206526 [details, diff]
Patch to eclass to follow kernel reversal of arch trees handling
First of all: I am truly sorry I can't provide accurate, correct details about this patch. I can't find the source I got it from. Here's the inline comment:
# Starting with linux-2.6.24, the 'x86_64' and 'i386'
# trees have been unified into 'x86'.
# FreeBSD still uses i386
# In 2.6.32, this has been changed back.
And I can confirm the patch works. Again, sorry for being unable to credit the source of the patch.
Same bug as 287225, and that's probably where the patch came from. :| (In reply to comment #9) > Created an attachment (id=206526) [details] > Patch to eclass to follow kernel reversal of arch trees handling > > First of all: I am truly sorry I can't provide accurate, correct details about > this patch.
