Patched ebuild that reverts the offending commit
Created attachment 205243 [details] patch that reverts libao2/ao_alsa.c to commit 29548 This fixes the sync and cpu issues with latest mplayer. By the way, this also works with 9999, so if you want you can patch that ebuild as well (which is also bugged). The whole thing is being tracked here: http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.video.mplayer.user/61368 Should be fixed in MPlayer SVN r29748, which also should be trivial to backport if you need it for some other version. (In reply to comment #3) > Should be fixed in MPlayer SVN r29748, which also should be trivial to backport > if you need it for some other version. > Indeed, 29748 seems to solve this for me. Maybe we should make a new release, maybe mplayer_1.0_rc5_p20091002. For now, the 9999 ebuild will work ok for me. And now it's worse because there's no workaround at this time. 29789 fails to build for me (yes, it's a separate issue, but I am stuck with no working version of mplayer in portage ATM). mplayer-1.0_rc4_p20091026 in portage. Thanks for the update. This solves the problem. |
