Seeing as 0.10.22 is stable and the oldest version in the tree, how did you get 0.10.11? (In reply to comment #1) > Seeing as 0.10.22 is stable and the oldest version in the tree, how did you get > 0.10.11? > I generally don't upgrade dependencies unless there is a requirement of a newer version, and I already had 0.10.11 installed from some time ago when it was the latest stable version in the tree and I installed something that pulled it. Requirement increased in webkit-gtk-1.1.10. Please seriously re-consider your stance on upgrading only when needed. The requirements listed in packages are often the bare minimum necessary for things to compile. But the new versions that you aren't upgrading to if nothing requires it for building are still fixing minor and major bugs often. Probably not introducing more newer ones than are fixed in the case of a stable tree as you are using. gstreamer-0.10.10 is very very seriously old already at the point this bug was filed, so you are missing out on a lot of fixes, performance improvements and many other things from gstreamer, gst-plugins-* and all the other packages you are not upgrading to. |
