for what? What's the problem? Please post the error you get, use-flags for cyrus-sasl plus 'emerge --info'. The patch right now does work for me.

These are my use flags:
dev-libs/cyrus-sasl-2.1.23  USE="authdaemond berkdb crypt gdbm ldap ntlm_unsupported_patch pam srp ssl -java -kerberos -mysql -postgres -sample -urandom"


I am pretty sure the only one that matters is ntlm_unsupported_patch which I already mentioned in the title.
