Silly me, wrong keyword :D

I think I've mentioned this before, but I can't find it. On sparc, I see one failure:
===================
99% tests passed, 1 tests failed out of 97

The following tests FAILED:
         58 - SimpleInstall-Stage2 (Failed)
====================
However, the build does not treat this as fatal, and cmake goes ahead and installs. Also, cmake-2.6.4 is able to build packages using cmake (verified with openal and wesnoth, for example).

So, please advise: how should we treat this test failure?

Stable for HPPA.
Comment 4 Tomáš Chvátal (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-05-28 07:02:53 UTC
@fmccor:
He he, i think there is some issue on sparc, cause the same issue was reported on previous stabilisation bug for 2.6.2.

If you will be able to reproduce it on some other sparc machine would you plz report it upstream?

And if cmake packages install for you it means it should probably not fail the simpleinstall test :]

Cheers
Comment 5 Ferris McCormick (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-05-28 13:22:21 UTC
Sparc stable. The failure I see is limited to one system, and whatever it is, it does not happen on that system in actual use. My guess is that it is some sort of timing issue, but I have no way to evaluate it. If anyone actually knows what that particular test is checking, I can look at it later, but whatever it is, it does not seem to have anything to do with whether cmake actually works as it's supposed to. And as I said, in practice it works fine on the problem system.
