(this is an automated message based on filtering criteria that matched this bug) 'EBUILD' is in the KEYWORDS which should mean that there is a ebuild attached to this bug. This bug is assigned to maintainer-wanted which means that it is not in the main tree. Hello, The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild submission. We also apologize for not being able to accommodate you in a timely manner. There are simply too many new packages. Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =) Because this is a mass message, we are also asking you to be patient with us. We anticipate a large number of requests in a short time. Thanks, On behalf of the Gentoo Sunrise Team, Jeremy. [1]: http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/sunrise/ [2]: http://overlays.gentoo.org/proj/sunrise/wiki/SunriseFaq Thanks for the ebuild! I'm cleaning a few things, and I'll add it soon to portage chromium-bin-0_p16980 and chromium-bin-9999 (this one p.masked) added to tree. I've used chromium as Google insists on the different name Now if only I could find some 32bit emul libraries for gconf and orbit, we could try this one on multilib amd64... *** Bug 271409 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** "/opt/chromium.org/chrome-linux/chrome: error while loading shared libraries: libgconf-2.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory" Shouldn't gnome-base/gconf be a dependency for this? It already is: http://sources.gentoo.org/viewcvs.py/gentoo-x86/www-client/chromium-bin/chromium-bin-0_p17178.ebuild?view=markup Anyway, if you find a bug in the ebuild, please open a new bugreport, this one was for portage inclusion and is indeed fixed ;) Ok, I just tried this ebuild and when I try to startup I get: /usr/local/portage/www-client/chromium-bin> chromium-bin ./chrome: /usr/lib/gcc/i686-pc-linux-gnu/4.1.2/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.9' not found (required by ./chrome) Please, new bugs imply new bugreports... The binary needs >=gcc-4.2, it's in its DEPEND. The correct gcc needs to be active though, I'll add a warning after merge to signal it |
