On inspection, the licence provided in the source (LEAGAL.NOTICE) looks nearly the same as BSD-2.  At least, BSD-2 is probably a better description then the 'as-is' catchall.

indeed, the COPYING is what we call BSD-2 and every other distribution also refers to it as BSD ...
