It's also mentioned on http://www.mygnu.de/index.php/2009/03/pidgin-client-too-old/ I had problems with ICQ and followed the advice on http://pidgin.im/ ("ICQ is reporting errors in some locations which are generally fixed by upgrading to 2.5.5." - The error for me was, that I logged in to often and should wait for 10 minutes, but I didn't connect for the whole day). After updating to 2.5.5, everything worked again as expected. So this issue was fixed for me by 2.5.5. Except, that one time it eat all my processor power (CPU @ 100%, but everything including pidgin were responsive and after a restart of pidgin, everything was fine again), I have no problems with net-im/pidgin-2.5.5 (amd64). *** Bug 262329 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Ok, some protocols don't work with older version, lets make this stable now. ppc64 done ppc done Stable for HPPA. Looks ok, hard to test _all_ the features. amd64 stable. x86 stable Stable on alpha. ia64/sparc stable, closing |
