Description Roby 2009-02-25 23:30:37 UTC
Seeing that there are conflicts between fribidi 0.10.x and 0.19.x, I'd suggest slotting these fribidi versions separately. Known bugs caused by fribidi 0.19.x:
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=257024
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=258969

Other packages that may be affected: m17n-lib, wormux, dvdauthor, mplayer, and vlc.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Upgrade from fribidi 0.10.x to 0.19.x
2. Emerge either ksvg or fish-fillets
3.

Actual Results:
Compilation failure due to source incompatibility.

I doubt if SLOTting is the answer without patching the other packages' ebuilds.

Closing WONTFIX.

We should just patch packages that fail to compile with the new fribidi to work with it.

As in, the package is not slottable by upstream terms.
