I tried to tell the kde guys that I think that their packaging is not logical
consistent, but they don't want to follow.
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62027
I think I'm not the only one, who doesn't want kdegames; And removing
~kdegames-{PV} by hand from the ebuild is not the way portage should work.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.
Have you verified that kdeaddons will work without kdegames? If it works, I
will remove the
dependency.
bugs.k.o. 62027> The configure script for kdeaddons has code to detect that
kdegames is not installed and therefore not compile atlantikdesigner. That
means that kdeaddons compiles fine without kdegames
And yes, I have kdeaddons installed without kdegames. Maybe adding an einfo if
kdegames is not installed in pkg_setup () would be a good idea.
Okay, I've removed the dependency. I don't think I'll add an einfo unless
somewhere along
the line someone complains about not being able to install atlantikdesigner.
Thanks for the
report.
hi,
this bug should be reopende, as kde-3.4.0_beta1 again depends on kdegames :(
please fix
I thought this would not be an issue anymore now that we have splitted
ebuilds. (see also bug 54015)
Gregorio: Yes and no. If kdeaddons wouldn't be split up in too many pieces, I
would agree.
