Is this reproducible? (I.e. it fails if you try again?) Does this help?: MAKEOPTS="-j1" emerge -v xmlrpc-c Please also post the complete build.log I could't wait till evening( see my email sent to loki_val@gentoo.org) and I started reemerge xmlrpc-c with temporarily ( on shell level) changed option MAKEOPTS="-j1". Yes, this helped, xmlrpc-c builds without any errors. Thanks, could you explain me short the background, why cpu's count set to 1 helped. That usually works, but if we're unlucky it doesn't. I can't say specifically why it didn't work in this case if I don't have a full build.log from a time when it failed. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 255440 *** I ran into this bug as well. I use distcc so I have MAKEOPTS="-j12". Setting it to "-j1" allowed it to compile successfully. Not sure I understand why this bug is happening, but I'd be curious to know what the fix is. |
