Bug 253930

Summary: gcc:4.3 - broken libgij.la, libjvm.la
Product: Gentoo Linux Reporter: Victor Mataré <vmatare+gbug>
Component: [OLD] Core systemAssignee: Gentoo Linux bug wranglers <bug-wranglers>
Status: RESOLVED DUPLICATE
Severity: minor CC: vmatare+gbug

Description Victor Mataré 2009-01-06 00:56:14 UTC
/usr/lib64/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/4.3.2/libgij.la and /usr/lib64/gcj-4.3.2-9/libjvm.la always pop up on revdep-rebuild, causing it to rebuild gcc:4.3, which never fixes the problem. Apparently, the dependency_libs entry in those two file contains an incorrect path. Dunno if libtool is flawed or why this keeps cropping up (used to have the same issue with gcc:4.1...)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
emerge gcc:4.3 && revdep-rebuild -i
