Hi gentoo team!
Oliwier Ptak alias aleczapka has created a new artwiz package which is
compatible with the latest fontconfig/Xft-2.0. Thus the artwiz fonts work in
gtk-2 and qt-3 apps now.
Since there is no real version number on the package, I have increased the major
version based from the previous 2.4-ebuild.
Enjoy, Alex
(From update of attachment 15089 [details])
(sorry, your attachment handling system threw an error so I have send the
ebuild twice unintentionally)
Doesn't work for me. I've never seen these red "Access Denied" errors
before...

Works fine! I do have "usersandbox" set, so it probably was that.

I suggest renaming the ebuild to media-fonts/artwiz-aleczapka, as the version
changed by alec zapka himself: he is using 1.3, and gentoo version is 2.4 or
3.0, which isn't adapted. SRC_URI and HOMEPAGE have also changed.
I've attached a new ebuild, artwiz-aleczapka-1.3.ebuild. This ebuild makes the
fonts available for fontconfig/Xft2 and for the old Xft.
I'm thinking about new ebuilds for the different encodings of these fonts that
may come in the future, something like artwiz-aleczapka-se-1.3.ebuild. See the
artwiz homepage for further information.
Yeah, i already looked into this a while back and was planning to rename it. I
rewrote part of it to make use of a local font.eclass, which i haven't had the
time to put in the tree yet (needs some further discussion). That's pretty much
the hold up at the moment.
Added artwiz-aleczapka-en/artwiz-aleczapka-en-1.3.ebuild which contains
mentioned needed fixes & uses the font eclass.
We should probably do a move from artwiz to this pack to ensure continuity. I'm
not sure how to handle the different language packs. I guess they should be
seperated like i do now, but i'm not sure if they can interfere...
it seems v2.0 will have full iso-8859-1 support.

In portage for over one year, closing.
ok, but I beliebe there are still 2 packages in the tree (artwiz-fonts and
artwiz-aleczapka-en) for the same thing. I guess artwiz-fonts should be removed,
and artwiz-aleczapka-en should be marked stable.
