I can't reproduce it with sun-jdk, seems to be related to IcedTea only. Adding upstream bug to URL as noted by Andrew John Hughes. Getting the same thing with icedtea. Thanks for any help. I got the same error messages with dev-java/icedtea6-1.5
>java -version
java version "1.6.0_0"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1.5) (Gentoo)
OpenJDK Client VM (build 14.0-b15, mixed mode)
Same error here too, with dev-java/icedtea6-1.5 and dev-java/rhino-1.5.5-r5 Same error with latests icedtea-1.5.2 here compile: [javac] Compiling 22 source files to /var/tmp/portage/dev-java/rhino-1.5.5-r5/work/rhino1_5R5/build/classes [javac] /var/tmp/portage/dev-java/rhino-1.5.5-r5/work/rhino1_5R5/toolsrc/org/mozilla/javascript/tools/debugger/Main.java:3430: cannot find symbol [javac] symbol : method getThisObj() [javac] location: class org.mozilla.javascript.NativeCall [javac] result = f.call(cx, scope, call.getThisObj(), [javac] ^ [javac] /var/tmp/portage/dev-java/rhino-1.5.5-r5/work/rhino1_5R5/toolsrc/org/mozilla/javascript/tools/debugger/Main.java:1508: cannot find symbol [javac] symbol : method getThisObj() [javac] location: class org.mozilla.javascript.NativeCall [javac] obj = call.getThisObj(); [javac] ^ [javac] 2 errors seems solution described here http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=91641 http://daeseonmoon.wordpress.com/2009/02/02/build-openoffice-phase-2-rhino-build-fail-with-openjdk/ Looks like this is finally fixed with icedtea-6.1.7.1. Can anyone confirm this? (then this bug can be set to resolved/fixed) (In reply to comment #10) > Looks like this is finally fixed with icedtea-6.1.7.1. > > Can anyone confirm this? (then this bug can be set to resolved/fixed) Yes 1.7.1 now hides away its bundled rhino. Closing. |
