glob2-0.1-static.tar.gz (latest stable release) fails to compile on gcc-3.x (author refuses to fix it) and fails on gcc-2.x (missing header file ?) glob2-latest-static.tar.gz (latest unstable release) is a bogus file of crap ... got me on this ... glob2-latest.tar.gz (cvs daily snapshot) works on gcc-2.x but again fails on gcc-3.x (see above reason) that leaves us with a sort of 'well this sucks' kind of situation :) Created attachment 14326 [details]

Dispite difficulties, many authors have overcome hardship to release code that works on gcc 2.x, gcc 3.2 and gcc 3.3. The globulation authors can't seem to figure it out. When they release something that works, let me know. ok, now that they've released a new version, lets check it out to see if it still sucks ;) i thought i re-opened this glob2-0.8.2 is now in portage |
